Well, Oscar weekend is once again upon us, and this past Tuesday, just in time, Alliance Films released two double feature DVD’s of Oscar nominated films.

The first set includes No Country For Old Men (2007), and Gone Baby Gone (2007).
No Country For Old Men was nominated for 9 Academy Awards, and won for Best Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem), Directing (Joel & Ethan Coen), Best Adapted Screenplay (Joel & Ethan Coen), and the coveted Best Picture.
Gone Baby Gone was nominated for 1 Academy Award.

The second set includes Brokeback Mountain (2005), and Milk (2008).
Brokeback Mountain was nominated for 7 Academy Awards including Best Picture, and won for Directing (Ang Lee), Music - Original Score (Gustavo Santaolalla), and Best Adapted Screenplay (Larry McMurtry & Diana Ossana).
Milk was nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture, and won for Best Actor (Sean Penn), and Best Original Screenplay (Dustin Lance Black). You can read our Milk DVD reviews from last year here.
