There’s finally a new trailer for Fantastic Mr. Fox. Full of quotes from early reviews, and some truly beautiful animation, this advertisement is in no way made to try and make the film appeal to kids. It’s for the Wes Anderson fans, and animation enthusiasts. I hope we get to see more advertising along these lines, as I can’t truthfully see this film finding an audience with young kids. Kudos to the filmmakers for going with their vision, and not trying to make something “mainstream”. Though Pixar fans are sure to be annoyed by the quote from Josh Horowitz (MTV Movies) used in the trailer.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this film. It opens on November 13th, and is distributed by Fox Searchlight.
